I started teaching my 6-year-old daughter  “who is a boy and who is a girl”. It is a little confusing in Europe to recognize the difference between girls & boys because they both remain in almost the same get-up. So I tell her that the boy is a guy who has short hair and wears a t-shirt with jeans. whereas a girl is somebody who has long hair and wears a long shirt.

 

Was she confused?

One day while going to school we saw a man with long hair wearing a T-shirt and then my daughter mentioned to me “Mama, she is a girl” I cleared her “No, he is a boy as he has also a beard on his face and some male can have beard or mustaches on their face too” then we spot a female with little hairs wearing a t-shirt and my kid said “mama, that one is a boy” I confirmed her “no, she is not a boy she is a girl as her t-shirt is like a females t-shirt”. 

 

How do I comprehend more differences?

After that, I cleared her some more differences and looks about masculine and feminine. A gentleman could keep lengthy hairs but he must have some hairs on his face too. As we are in the advanced era men generally wear pants and shirts. while women remain in the same garb wearing shalwar kameez. Now it is a little simpler for a kid to perceive this difference in such countries.

Indian outfits dissimilarities

Arabic community dress

 In Arabic countries, Jubba is their cultural outfit which is for males and also for females. Jubba is like a long shirt, a lengthy shirt reaches the ankle, with a cap in it. But females wear hijab or mantle with Jubba dress which makes them distinctive from males.

But hither it is unnecessary to talk about getup or clothing as everyone has their preferences and for kids, they will understand all these when they are grown-up.
