wedding
Muslims are obliged to obey religious principles. They get married under Islamic rules whereas matrimony is not an obligation but it is mandatory for males and females. Because Muslims are proscribed with physical relationships without wedding. That is why, when Muslim girls in India and Pakistan do not get wedded at a young age, most people and kinsfolk ridicule her. The same thing happened to me.

Young age proposalsYoung age proposals
I was 33 and still did not get married but that was OK in Europe but not adequate in Pakistan. Cause, when I was 20 some proposals came but refused me for a wedding. The young age of a girl is the best for matrimony. Girls look charming they are young and most people send wedding offers. Some parents organize their daughter's marriage if they find a gentleman, but some parents reject many offers just to find best of the best man for their daughter. This is a goofy act and nowadays parents are getting greedy as they are looking for a perfect match for their daughters, but still, they have failed to find a perfect match.
Our society
During the ages of 20 to 23, a few matrimony proposals came to see me but unfortunately, they disfavored me. Which is why, I did not get wedded at an early age. But after that, I considered I had to groom myself to become more elegant because most boys like modern charming beauty but again I failed. Here I got a lesson about a man's choice was, a girl should be a simple and natural beauty but they adore and do marriage with artificial beauty. This double standard just broke my heart.
I tried my best to the best offers but still, many proposals came and were always rejected. They do not find me a naturally charming girl. All these are common with many females in Pakistan where girls are degraded as they are not elegant or they do not look much beautiful. This is why most girls are not getting wedded, after reaching 35 of their ages. This is just the fault of our double-standard society.
Why are females not getting married?
This is not only the flaw of a boy's family but it is also a mistake of a girl's family. Because ladies are looking, for a handsome, well, and highly educated male who earns a lot and must live without his parents after matrimony. On the other hand boys' demands are almost similar an elegant girl, highly qualified, must take care of the home like a maid, and must not speak against her in-laws. No one expresses their tolerance and patience. Many females are involved in love affairs which is why love marriages are also on peak but still, love marriages are unsuccessful. Additionally, after one or more years of matrimony, most couples choose a way to divorce and do again wedding, to another perfect person which also spoils youngsters.
Daughter-in-law and mother-in-law
in the 21st century, most daughter-in-laws dis-honored with their in-laws. Especially mother-in-law. When a husband demands to take heed of his parents' the wife always refuses it as she is not a slave of them, And the man, the husband has no options between his guardians and his spouse, he also prefers to live separately from his parents. I remember 80's and 90's daughters-in-law who used to be persecuted because their mothers-in-law used to oppress them. But nowadays daughters-in-law harass their mothers-in-law. Poor and oppressors of 80's and 90's females who used to be daughters-in-law, were persecuted by their in-laws then and daughters-in-law now as well.
What about my marriage?
At the age of 33 finally, I got married. I remember the day when I was sobbing, praying, and asking Allah for my marriage. I did not even consider that, my supplications would be approved too early which I had been begging for 10 years or maybe more. That time I inferred that it may take only a moment for the prayer "Dua" to be accepted. That day I was astonished but delighted too because, soon I was going to get wedded. And my marriage again amazed me.
My husband's decision
It took 5 years for my stubborn husband to get married to me. When I was a newcomer in Belgium, my brother-in-law asked him for marriage but he replied uncommonly. Later, we asked him again for matrimony, and he agreed but made some conditions that we did not take seriously. And again after 2 years, we offered a wedding proposal and finally he accepted. Not even approving the next 5 years of a few pretexts he did it. I was stunned but blissful too as finally, he did it. That day I apprehended two things, one is about a 'Dua' which can be accepted anytime and another is that there is a time for everything that happens in its time. Because, after 5 years my husband got wedded to me.
We Indian Pak people have thoughts, couples are made in heaven. Some girls and boys wedding at an early age, several are getting divorced and getting married again, whereas many females are getting wedded too late, and a lot of girls are still single even when they reach 35 or 40 ages. These are some differences between European and Asian marriages. But it is all about our fortune which is already written.
